Honored: Actuate awarded iTAC Software AG the “BIRT Excellence Award 2014“

BI specialist handed over an award for the professional integration of OEM product BIRT iHub into iTAC.MES.Suite

Montabaur, 8 December 2014 – MES specialist iTAC Software AG has been honored with the “BIRT Excellence Award 2014”. This award comes from Actuate and stands for the professional integration of the visualization platform BIRT iHub into the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) of iTAC. Through the OEM product, integrated into iTAC.MES.Suite, an extensive, mobile device-competent Business Intelligence service for Big Data has been developed.

In co-operation with Actuate iTAC has integrated a process-oriented and web-based Business Intelligence solution into its MES. This iTAC.BI.Portal is the switching substation for comfortable analyzing, designing and reporting of production keys, among others. Thereby, the mobile access is possible via Private and Public Cloud infrastructures. This leads to flexibility, transparency and efficiency within the global and fully extensive supply chain.

To realize iTAC.BI.Portal the proven middleware iTAC.ARTES has been combined with the application server BIRT iHub 3. BIRT is an open source software project which forms the uniform architecture of Actuate’s reporting and analyzing technology. The BI infrastructure, resulting from the combination with iTAC.MES.Suite, is highly scalable and fulfils superior Big Data requirements.

And the winner is: iTAC
This innovative solution as well as the realization through iTAC was honored with the “BIRT Excellence Award 2014” by Actuate at its customer day “Data Driven Summit” in Frankfurt, Germany. Every year that prize is awarded to organizations with excellent solutions or achievements within the area of BIRT-based Business Intelligence applications.
