Increasing use of agile methods and integration of User Experience (UX) for MES and IIoT solutions

Montabaur, 25 June 2020 – iTAC Software AG will be increasingly relying on the use of agile methods in the future in order to involve customers even more in the development processes and increase user experience (UX). As part of this, there will be several changes within the company of the specialist for MES (Manufacturing Execution System) solutions. As an example, iTAC has created customer access to the development system, which means that new or revised modules such as iTAC's new QM module in the workbench are already available to selected customers prior to official release. In addition, a forum will be established for customers to exchange information and feedback on the product and new developments.

iTAC offers MES and IIoT solutions for transparent, automated manufacturing processes. The iTAC.MES.Suite includes various services for the networking, automation and analysis of production processes and is constantly being further developed. Most recently, the company revised its iTAC.MES.Suite manufacturing execution system in the area of quality management. The new QM module includes optimized analysis and reporting functions for all product-relevant quality data.

Optimizing development processes according to user needs
The new QM functionalities have in fact already been created with the participation of customers in the development process. Within different workshops the requirements of the users were gathered and evaluated. iTAC is also actively involving its customers in the design of future special MES and IIoT functions.

"The aim of the increased use of agile methods and the integration of user experience is to promote the development of tailor-made, requirement-oriented applications through user-centric design and to raise customer satisfaction to a very high level in the long term," explains Peter Bollinger, CEO of iTAC Software AG.

Faster and better implementation of customer requirements
In the course of this, there have been various changes within iTAC. In order to enable customers to participate in the process, iTAC has created a customer access to the development system. The customer can quickly and directly influence the desired development of the functionalities required by him based on his specific needs.

In addition, iTAC made the new QM module available in the workbench for selected customers prior to official release. In this context, a forum for exchange and feedback is also being established for these customers. "The forum is currently still in a test phase with selected customers, but is to be made accessible to all users in the course of the year. We hope that the influence of the expertise provided by these specialists will enable us to develop even more customer-specific and user-oriented MES and IIoT solutions", explains Peter Bollinger.
