iTAC showcases MOM with IIoT, APS and Analytics for the Electronics Industry at IPC APEX EXPO

MOM specialist presents solutions for the Smart Factory on an international level

Montabaur, December 01, 2021 – MES/MOM specialist iTAC Software AG will be showcasing solutions for the digitization of electronics factories at IPC APEX EXPO in San Diego from January 25 to 27, 2022. The company will demonstrate its iTAC.MOM.Suite with components such as iTAC.SMT.Edge, a machine integration platform based on an edge solution for the standardization and centralization of data in SMT production. iTAC will be presenting these and other solutions surrounding the holistic Manufacturing Management System iTAC.MOM.Suite at the trade fair at the joint booth with its two subsidiaries Cogiscan Inc. and DUALIS GmbH IT Solution at booth 3121.

"In electronics manufacturing, the importance of data continues to grow. Particularly in larger SMT production plants that use machines from different manufacturers, cross-vendor networking between machines and higher-level company systems is a requirement for data exchange and analysis. We developed iTAC.SMT.Edge to simplify these processes," explains Peter Bollinger, CEO of iTAC Software AG.

The iTAC.SMT.Edge is a vendor-neutral platform for the connectivity of electronics assembly machines. iTAC's product is the result of a collaboration with Canadian electronics manufacturing solutions provider Cogiscan Inc.

The iTAC.SMT.Edge harmonizes the different proprietary machine data formats and protocols into a single communication format, which significantly simplifies the integration effort between shopfloor equipment and enterprise software systems. This forms an essential basis for the implementation of Industry 4.0 requirements in SMT manufacturing. The main goal is to facilitate communication between machines of any brand, model and year and other systems. The edge technology is the basis for easy collection, linking and analysis of data from all SMT machines in a production line in real time.

At the trade show, iTAC and Cogiscan will present the features and benefits of this solution.

iTAC.MOM.Suite supports the digital transformation of manufacturing
The international audience will also be able to find out about other functions of the iTAC.MOM.Suite. "At APEX, we will be using our holistic Manufacturing Management System to show interested visitors how factories can implement the digital transformation in their production and meet the future requirements for an entirely digital process chain – while at the same time keeping the overall process secure and stable. In addition to the corresponding analysis options, planning functionalities are also essential," explains Peter Bollinger and continues: "With the iTAC.APS.Service as an elementary part of the iTAC.MOM.Suite, planning via the Advanced Planning and Scheduling System is not only possible taking into account material, personnel and production orders, but also, for example, including maintenance tasks – and all of this in real-time.

The iTAC subsidiary DUALIS will be present at the trade fair booth as a developer and solution provider of software and services for simulation and detailed order planning. The detailed planning tool GANTTPLAN from DUALIS is an integrated part of the iTAC.MOM.Suite. Together with Cogiscan and DUALIS, holistic solutions for digitalization, process optimization and more added value in modern electronics manufacturing will be presented at APEX.
