Dr. Daniel Metz appointed Manager Product Development at iTAC

MES/MOM provider expands AI and software development for data-driven manufacturing

Montabaur, June 09, 2026 – iTAC Software AG is strengthening its development organization: Dr. Daniel Metz has assumed the role of Manager Product Development with immediate effect. In his new position, he is responsible for the further development of the core development teams and plays a key role in shaping the technological direction of software development. A particular focus is placed on the development of innovative AI-powered solutions for the data-driven production of the future.

iTAC connects production data, process expertise, and artificial intelligence to create a comprehensive decision-making foundation for manufacturing operations. To this end, the company develops integrated solutions that enable manufacturers to analyze processes in real time, leverage production knowledge effectively, and make data-driven decisions directly on the shopfloor without reliance on external cloud infrastructures.

With its combination of MES/MOM solutions, integrated APS, AI-driven analytics tools, and edge technologies, iTAC positions itself as a full-solution provider for the intelligent, connected factory.

Within this environment, Dr. Daniel Metz assumes a central role in advancing development processes and software architecture. His responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and implementing development projects using agile methodologies, as well as driving continuous optimization. In addition, as Release Train Engineer (RTE), he is responsible for steering and synchronizing cross-team development activities, including dependency management and reporting. Another key focus is fostering innovation, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration between development, product management, support, and testing.

From a customer perspective, the emphasis is on high-performance software solutions that enable sustainable digitalization and optimization of production processes. This includes, among other things, AI-based applications for production data analytics, the use of modern cloud, edge, and AI technologies, and the continuous improvement of quality, transparency, and efficiency in manufacturing.

“Today’s manufacturing companies have access to enormous volumes of data while also possessing valuable experiential knowledge. The key is to bring both together and make them centrally available and usable in real time,” says Dr. Daniel Metz. “iTAC combines production data and process knowledge into a shared information context directly within manufacturing operations and supports employees in analysis and decision-making through AI technologies. I am looking forward to further developing solutions together with the teams that enable companies to manage their production processes in a more transparent, efficient, and intelligent way.”
