iTAC wins OpenText Elite Award for the “Most Innovative Analytics Project”

MES manufacturer awarded for integrating iHub and the resulting mobile-capable BI-Service for Industry 4.0

Montabaur, 30 November 2015 – An outstanding solution: iTAC Software AG won the OpenText Elite award for its integration of the OpenText Actuate Information Hub (iHub) visualization platform into iTAC.MES.Suite. The award in the category “Most Innovative Analytics Project” was presented by the EIM specialists and confirms the innovation strength of Business Intelligence Services for Big Data applications in Industry 4.0.

The 2015 OpenText Elite Awards were handed out in different categories to companies for trend-setting solutions. These companies play a role in transforming and optimizing business processes in Industry 4.0 and in handling production data and information accordingly. Together with the award-winning innovators, OpenText develops new business models for the increasing digitalization in production environments.

iTAC.BI.Portal was created in cooperation with iTAC. For this, iTAC integrated the OEM product iHub – a process-orientated, centralized and web-based Business Intelligence Solution from OpenText – into its Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The result is a central platform for easy analysis and reporting of data, e.g. production codes. This means the solution is able to evaluate large and complex as well as changing data quickly and flexibly. With iTAC.BI.Portal and the integrated iHub software companies now have a basis for making decisions concerning analytical action – with short reaction times.

This is also available as a mobile solution via the private and public cloud infrastructures. The BI-Service architecture is highly scalable and can fulfill complex Big Data requirements.

OpenText awarded this total package including the complex integration concept as the “Most Innovative Analytics Project”. The award was received by Kai Suchomel, Senior Software Architect and Jörg Köhn, Senior Business Intelligence Consultant, on behalf of iTAC Software AG. J. Köhn explains: “The award has shown us which technological strengths our iTAC.MES.Suite has to offer. It will encourage us to continue implementing software strategies for Embedded Business Intelligence and Analytics in our products together with OpenText. Our common goals are greater intelligence, quality control and error minimization in the manufacturing processes of Smart Factories.”
