iTAC shows MES and IIoT solutions for transparency and control at Hannover Messe

The networked factory in view and under control: Monitoring, controlling and optimizing complex processes

Montabaur, March 13, 2019 – iTAC Software AG will be presenting new solutions for transparent, automated production at this year’s Hannover Messe from April 1st to 5th. The MES specialist will be represented at the booth of the Dürr Group (A34, Hall 7). Comprehen-sive MES and IIoT solutions which intermesh meaningfully will be show-cased at the trade fair.

The motto of this year’s trade fair presence is “Transparency & Control for your production – MES & IIoT solutions based on Dürr Group Know-How”. For this purpose, the automatization and digitalization competences within the group are being merged: Dürr as a machine and plant manufacturer, iTAC as a global MES vendor, DUALIS as a specialist for detailed production planning and LOX-EO as a digital marketplace as well as ADAMOS as an IoT platform provider. Together they will showcase combined solutions in the areas of IIoT, AGV, Ana-lytics, Planning, MES, APS and Assembly.

iTAC specializes in intelligent MES solutions for networking, automation and analysis of production processes. Their core is the Manufacturing Execution System iTAC.MES.Suite which has been established on the market for many years and is continuously being further developed in line with the latest market requirements.

At the trade fair iTAC will also be presenting an intelligent solution for production logistics 4.0, which supports automatic replenishment control with driverless transport systems in SMT production. The process ranges from the Material Pull System (MPS) and Auto Storage (AS) to the Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV). The advantages include among others: Relief for the personnel, constant con-trol over the material and no more necessity for buffer stock.

Product innovations of the iTAC.MES.Suite
Visitors will also learn about all recent technological innovations of the iTAC.MES.Suite, such as the conversion of the front-end technology. In line with the market trend, iTAC.MES.Suite applications are now being offered as mod-ern HTML5 clients. These new HTML5 applications are based on open web standards and can be used without any additional plug-ins. The applications of the iTAC.MES.Suite are combined in a uniform framework (iTAC.Workbench) and offer intelligent functionalities for operating, monitoring and parametrizing.

Additionally, new extended functions of SPC communication via OPC UA and Kafka are available from now on. The Kafka broker actively distributes messag-es from the MES and/or the client systems. With the upcoming release 9.20.00, the ActiveMQ broker will be optionally supported in addition to this broker. An essential task in the integration of iTAC.MES.Suite and PLC-based systems is to update data promptly in both worlds (MES or machine/client). The OPC UA service has been extended by an additional trigger mechanism so that active notification from the MES to the PLC can take place. As soon as a new order is received, it will be actively sent by the MES to the broker and automatically received by the client.

With these and other functionalities, iTAC is increasingly focusing on platform independence, flexibility, mobile capability, usability and simple distribution. The features of the iTAC.MES.Suite along with its benefits will be showcased at the trade fair in various live demonstrations and will be presented in various Use Cases.
