APEX 2016: iTAC Software AG presents industrial web solutions for the networked factory

From Public Cloud MES via Business Intelligence to Big Data

Montabaur, February 10, 2016 – iTAC Software AG, a member of the Dürr Group, focuses on the connected industry for its trade fair pres-ence at "IPC APEX EXPO 2016". From March 15 to 17, the MES specialist will be represented at the Las Vegas electronics trade fair at Booth 2546. The software developer will be presenting solutions for the integral digitisation and networking of machines and plants.

Manufacturing execution systems (MES) are a core technology of Industry 4.0, connecting the digital world with production environments. At IPC APEX EXPO 2016, iTAC Software AG will be displaying technologies for imple-menting the industrial internet, including release 8.50 of its iTAC.MES.Suite - a cloud-enabled manufacturing execution system - together with the associated iTAC.App.Server. This is a Java EE7-compliant application server, which provides for a significantly higher level of availability and operative reliability for the overall solution.

Visitors will also be able to learn about the company's public cloud-based MES with integral APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) for detailed planning requirements. This enables production processes to be precisely planned and scheduled dependent upon the available resources and capacities. In addition to detailed order scheduling, the tool also visualises the re-sults on the graphical control unit.

Another focal point at the trade fair will be the iTAC.BI.Portal – a business intelligence solution for big data applications. This is based on the iTAC.ARTES middleware and is a component of the MES. With this BI technology, users are able to analyse and process data and create reports simply and quickly on handheld devices. Decision-related information is amalga-mated, administered and securely made available for manufacturing intelligence, quality control and traceability purposes.

"We have committed ourselves to the task of converging production processes with intelligent data processing and analysis. In doing so, we support manufacturing companies worldwide in mastering the change processes that the industrial internet entails," explains Peter Bollinger, CEO of iTAC Software AG.
